Debutante Cotillion

Purpose and Objectives

Since 1991, the Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Debutante Cotillion Program has provided a spectacular platform of cultural enrichment and empowerment for young ladies to be successful during their transition from high school to post-secondary education.  We are committed to providing our Debutantes and their families with a very rewarding and memorable experience.

The objectives of the Debutante Cotillion Program are for the Debutantes to:

  • Participate in workshops geared towards skill enhancement, confidence building and knowledge acquisition.

  • Participate in service projects which provide the Debutantes with an opportunity to use their time, talents and skills to help others within their communities and to see the impacts that their contributions have on others and on themselves.

  • Attend cultural events to expose the Debutantes to various forms of art.

  • Form lasting friendships with other young ladies.

  • Be presented to society at an elegant and memorable Debutante Cotillion Ball.
