The Ivy Community Center, Inc. is the nonprofit entity of Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. It is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization established in 1995.The nonprofit corporation negotiated the purchase of land and construction of a facility for the members of Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter to meet, plan, and conduct community outreach services.The mission of the nonprofit is to maintain and manage the Ivy Community Center for chapter meetings and activities and to sponsor and promote programs that enhance the quality of life for the Durham Community.The membership of Ivy Community Center comprises members of Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter. The nonprofit corporation works in conjunction with Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter to respond to the needs of the community through its outreach programs.
